Fried Chicken: The Vary-Asian

It’s so similar to my normal fried chicken but the breading is a tiny bit different in order to go with the flavors in my red lentil curry. I’ve had a pretty gifted day in the kitchen, if I do say so myself. 🙂 I also finally mastered rice but we can talk about that in a minute (or – more likely – on another page). Any who, I think the idea of fried chicken/breaded chicken with curry sounds pretty darn good so that’s what I did. For the basic recipe just see my “Hill’s Fried Chicken” page. The only changes are in the breading. I added ≈ ½ teaspoon of each of the following to the flour/breading mixture:

Cumin
Lemongrass powder
Ground Ginger
Garlic Powder
Cayenne
Lemon Pepper
Baking Powder

According to Vin it was pretty successful so enjoy!!
